We would like to welcome our new board member Matthew E. Pecoy.

Matt Pecoy is a member of the McGrath Law Firm, P.A.’s Charleston, South Carolina office and provides Chase After a Cure with legal counsel in the areas of corporate law, trademarks, and litigation. After attending high school in Greenville, South Carolina, Mr. Pecoy began to plant his roots in the Lowcountry, graduating cum laude from the College of Charleston in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Upon graduation, Mr. Pecoy obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2008. While in law school, Mr. Pecoy served as the Articles Editor for the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal and obtained his first publication, Sitting on the Dock of the Bay: South Carolina’s Need for a Submerged Lands Lease Program. Mr. Pecoy was also the recipient of the 2007 Mississippi State Coastal Law Fellowship, an award that resulted in his publication of three additional pieces that focused on coastal law and policy. He is admitted to practice law in South Carolina, the United States District Court of South Carolina, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Mr. Pecoy is also an avid outdoor enthusiast, music lover, and ice hockey player.  Thank you Matthew! We look forward to your leadership and your help Chasing After a Cure!!!
