Kristen Walczak, a northerner from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, feels truly at home in southern Charleston, South Carolina. She will be a senior at the College of Charleston this fall, graduating as an English major and British studies minor. This past spring, her love of travel brought Kristen to Europe, where she studied history, writing, and literature for a semester abroad in London, England. As a member of the Dean’s list, Kristen is a dedicated student who hopes to work in the marketing industry once she graduates. Outside interests of hers include reading, dancing, fashion, and running. Kristen has participated in multiple half marathons including one in Pittsburgh on behalf of a cancer research charity. Having multiple family members who have fought and beat cancer, and having participated in many cancer fundraising events, she was immediately drawn to the Chase After a Cure organization and the opportunities it offered her. Kristen is excited to lend her efforts to CAAC this summer as a social media intern!
