Community Pulls Together To Chase After a Cure In The Month of September

September is childhood cancer awareness month. Chase After a Cure is fortunate to have community support in raising more awareness for childhood cancer. This year one of our dedicated community partners joined the Chase. Reagin Orthodontics developed their own unique way of raising awareness during the month of September. They encouraged their patients to choose purple or gold elastics to wear on their braces in honor of childhood cancer. Dr. Reagin donated $2 to CAAC for each patient who participated. A total of 95 children and adults chose to show their support in such a unique way. Not only did they help raise funds for research, but they also helped raise awareness for childhood cancer. Childhood cancer still remains the number 1 disease killer in children, neuroblastoma remains the most common cancer among infants, and long term effects still plague survivors. This is why we continue the Chase After a Cure and why its crucial to have such amazing partners in the community to help change the odds and outcomes for these children. Reagin Orthodontics is one of the pieces to our efforts. Thanks a million Dr. Britt Reagin, Greer Reagin, all the staff, and patients of Reagin Orthodontics for all of your support!

Last month we were able to help orchestrate childhood cancer proclamations from the State of South Carolina, and cities of Charleston, and Summerville.
