Chasing Away Childhood Cancer

Nolan and Josie’s Run with the “Bus Stop” Crew!

Nolan and Josie were excited to sign up for the kids’ Virtual Road Chase to “help the doctors help the sick kids get better”! They have had fun this year participating in runs to raise money for childhood cancer and organizing lemonade stands to raise money for the doctors who helped their little sister get well. So, when it came time to plan their September run, they wanted to include the bus stop crew in their excitement.

We mapped out a course in a sand volleyball court, (35 laps in soft sand), planned a Friday evening party with chicken nuggets and cupcakes, decorated with signs and balloons and invited the friends over. Although 35 laps sounded like a lot the kids were excited to get on their race bibs and take off.

As the parents cheered, the kids actually completed a mile in the sand! They all received their medals and started talking about next years race as the party began!

Thanks for letting us take part in the Chase After a Cure Virtual Road Chase and raise awareness for Childhood Cancer while having tons of fun!
