Chasing Away Childhood Cancer

Introducing the RACE for Children Act!

One problem that many children with cancer face is that they are unable to get access to the most promising and novel cancer drugs available to adults. And even if new drugs are FDA approved, they are often too expensive for pediatric researchers to undertake. As a result, the RACE for Children Act was proposed which will enable children with cancer to be treated with the most promising new cancer drugs. Any company that is developing drugs for adults would now be required to also develop them for children. Unlike most congressional bills, the RACE for Children is not a new policy but rather an update of the Pediatric Research Equity Act. If approved by members of congress, this act would be a game changer. Chase After a Cure supports RACE for Children because we feel as though it would benefit the lives of children diagnosed with cancer and would potentially improve their treatment all together.
