Chasing Away Childhood Cancer

Terka

Happy Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day!

This week, a family in Minneapolis who eats ice cream for breakfast has inspired us. They started doing this last year in honor of their daughter, Malia, who passed away from kidney cancer. The idea of eating ice cream for breakfast was very exciting to her, so that’s how her family decided to do on what would have been Malia’s 13th birthday. They asked their friends and family to get involved so that other families of cancer would not feel so alone. This is only the second of year of Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day but there are already people on Facebook from 83 Countries that are participating.

We hope that this shows you that you are not alone in your fight against childhood cancer. We also hope that you would be as inspired as we are. In only two years, this family was able to make their campaign global. If you have an idea on how to spread awareness or raise money for childhood cancer we encourage you to go for it. You never know how far your message could reach.
